Representative Guy U. Hardy,
Canon City, Colorado

My dear Mr. Hardy:
A letter sent to you at the Brown Palace Hotel during the Republican Conclave has just been returned from the Dead Letter Office.

The State Executive Board of the Colorado Branch of the National Woman's Party requests you, as a Colorado representative, to do all in your power to put the Republican party on record in support of the Equal Rights Amendment, which will be introduced in Congress in December.

The text of the Amendment is as follows: "Men and women shall have equal rights through the United States and every place subject to its jurisdiction."

We are especially anxious that Colorado, the second state to grant suffrage to women, should give unqualified support to this cause of Equal Rights for women, and we request you to pledge your vote for this Amendment.

Yours sincerely,
Ernstine Parsons (signed)
