The scrapbook contains stationary, flyers, postcards, programs, broadsides, and foldouts related to the Political Equality Association. Alva Belmont was president of the Political Equality Association located in New York City, New York. (See Notes for more information on topics of items in scrapbook.) The scrapbook has a red cover with two impressed gold lines as the rectangular decorative border and SCRAP BOOK in gold cursive lettering in the center. The scrapbook cover is faded, the binding is worn. A number of pages are no longer bound. The pages have discolored over time, and the brittle pages are deteriorating with many pages torn at edges and corners.

The scrapbook has a faded black fabric cover ornamented with an impressed rectangular border and "THE/IDEAL/SCRAP BOOK" in the upper left corner impressed in gold lettering. There are stained spots on the scrapbook cover and on the inside of the back cover. Stains and scraps of paper are on the back cover. There are loose newspaper clippings at the front of the scrapbook. The scrapbook is not assembled, and no clippings are glued to the pages, which have discolored over time. A string binds the pages. A sticker on the inside of the back cover reads "The IDEAL Line/To Duplicate Order/No. 21/MADE BY/THE J.L. HANSON CO./CHICAGO."

In the depiction, Dr. Winslow has her hair tied behind her head, and she is wearing a collared top with buttons down the front. The back of the bust is inscribed with the sculptor's signature that reads: "Adelaide Johnson, Washington D.C., 1892". The bust rests on a pedestal base inscribed with the following text: "Dr. C. B. Carved and painted wooden pedestal used to support the marble bust of Elizabeth Cady Stanton by Adelaide Johnson, 1892. The pedestal has a square top and square base connected by four tapering sides. The top bears a carved frieze with a Vitruvian scroll design. Beneath the frieze, is an egg and leaf dental moulding, a carved Acanthus leaf garland in high relief, and a recessed panel outlined with carved beads. The base is wrapped horizontally with a carved Acanthus leaf garland in high relief. The entire pedestal is painted gray.

Carved and painted wooden pedestal used to support the marble bust of Susan B. Anthony by Adelaide Johnson, 1892. The pedestal has a square top and square base connected by a cylindrical fluted column. The top portion of the column is draped with carved Acanthus leaf garlands in high relief, around the whole column. The central portion of the column has applied molded foliage decorations in the indentation of each flute. The entire pedestal is gilt and painted in a faux marble finish.
