Yellow cotton sateen banner with white painted letters reading "Working Women Need the Vote" in block capitals with a decorative design at bottom center. Banner is edged in gold-toned metallic trim. Bottom edge in decorative point and curve design has applied yellow fringe. At top are hanging loops in same gold-toned trim. Banner is backed in unbleached cotton muslin sewn to edges of banner with running and overcast stitch. Twill tape label is applied at back and twill tape loops are applied behind hanging loops at top.

Rectangular dark blue cotton sateen banner with turquoise painted lettering reading "Man needs her help but she cannot give it" in block capitals with decorative symbols. Bottom of banner is cut into points and edged in yellow fringe. Turquoise letters appear to have been painted over silver paint or pigment. Banner is backed in same dark blue fabric, joining the front at the top edge to create a tube for hanging. Through tube is wooden pole with gold-painted acorn-shaped finials, the right finial removeable. The banner is nailed to the pole with one nail at either end.

At one edge is a white cotton twill hanging tube with metal grommets at either side. The end of a thin yellow hanging cord with a knot at the center is sewn next to the reverse side of the left grommet, and the other end of the cord is detached from the upper edge of hanging strip, wound with brown tape, and tied to the right grommet with white cord in a frayed knot. The front of the hanging strip is stamped "3 x 5."

Round wooden pole with white cord threaded through hole in one end and knotted to secure. Opposite end is designed to be identical, but cord has come unknotted and pulled loose from pole. Nails in either end of pole on inside edge of cord holes. Cord ends have metal crimps.
