At one edge is a white cotton twill hanging sleeve, on the front of which is an indistinguishable manufacturer's stamp.

Rectangular banner in orange and white stripes with dark blue inset in upper left corner with appliqued white felt lettering on both sides reading "Votes for Women." Appliqued blue felt lettering on both sides of lower right stripes also reads "Votes for Women." Stripes are stitched together with flat-felled seams and hemmed at all sides. Inset is attached with a double row of zigzag stitch. Felt letters are appliqued on in running stitch. At far left of banner are five sets of cotton plain-weave ties, probably for hanging on a pole. A strip of cotton webbing tape is applied to the edge of the banner reverse next to the hanging ties with conservation stitching.

Teal green cotton sateen banner with painted yellow lettering reading "In memory of Clara Barton" in capitals. Banner has decoratively-cut bottom edge in curve and point shape and four self-fabric loops at top edge for hanging, and is backed in yellow cotton sateen. Banner is stiffened, either by interior paint or an interlining. Self-fabric hanging loops are threaded onto a wooden pole and loops at either end are nailed to pole. Pole has hanging chain attached with eye screws at either end.

At one edge is a white cotton twill hanging strip with metal grommets at either end. A white cord is tied around the left grommet in a frayed knot. Slits are cut in the front side of the hanging strip near the grommets.

Banner is backed in same fabric, with edges sewn together to form hanging tube at top. at either side of top edge are pieces of loose-weave cotton tape knotted to the fabric, probably for hanging. A strip of braided black tape sewn to the reverse of the center of the top edge, also probably for hanging. Pieces of the same tape are sewn at either bottom edge on reverse.

Rectangular fragment of purple ("violet") silk velvet with attached pin reading "Votes for Women." Velvet is selvage-width and cut at left and right edges. Pin is narrow rectangle of brass-toned metal with a beveled top and metal letters reading "Votes for Women" surrounded by white enamel.

Strips are attached with flat-felled seams. At the top of the banner is sewn a purple satin ribbon, to form a hanging sleeve.

Underneath lettering at bottom right side of front is printed "Calhoun, (International Allied Printing Trades Council Label) Hartford, CT. in all capitals. Edges of banner are unfinished. Very fragile, not able to be displayed.
