Description Long purple banner reading " "Forward out of error leave behind the night forward through the darkness forward into light"." Banner is sewn of purple cotton sateen, folded over and machine-hemmed in lavender thread on all four sides. Lettering is painted in gold with white "shadowing." A flat tube of unbleached muslin is attached to top edge of reverse side of banner with dark purple thread in a running stitch, probably for hanging.
