Description Beige cotton sateen banner with stylized capital lettering in black paint reading "Failure is impossible." "Failure" is written in upsweeping curve with enlarged "F" while other words are written straight across beneath. Original chalk or ink markings are visible under paint. Banner is rectangular with applied gold fringe along pointed bottom edge. Top edge forms a hanging tube where front and back layers meet. Banner is backed in unbleached cotton muslin, which also forms a hanging tube at top edge and is attached to original backing with a small running stitch around all edges. A strip of twill tape, probably sized or varished, is loosely sewn to the top right of the muslin backing under the hanging tube and is lettered in pen to read "Nat. Womens Party 245001.6."
