Description Jail Door pin - one of 100 given to suffragists who were jailed for picketing the White House. This pin was originally owned by Betsy Graves Reyneau, who was among a group of 16 women arrested for picketing the White House on July 14, 1917, and who were jailed for four days. The pin was designed by Alice Paul, based on the Holloway Broach given to British women who had been imprisioned.
