Description Framed portrait of Emma Guffey Miller (1874-1970) painted in oil on canvas by Mari Baum Landes (1916-2003). In the portrait, a grey-haired Mrs. Miller is wearing a black robe with a white collar, a pink bead and pendant necklace, and she is holding a folded white document in her right hand. To Mrs. Miller's right is a vase with cherry blossom sprigs, to her left are several books. Behind Mrs. Miller is an image of the U.S. Capitol. The wood frame is painted a transparent light blue.
