Description Marble bust depicting Alva Belmont (1853-1933) sculpted by Adelaide Johnson (1859-1955). In the depiction, Belmont is draped in Classical style wrap, with her left shoulder bare. The back of the bust is inscribed with the sculptor's signature that reads: "Adelaide Johnson DC 1912". The bottom of the bust flares outward ending in a square base.
